Danny, a reserved college student, moves to his stepmother, Nancy, who is unrelated to him. Nancy is overjoyed to have Danny's company, but Danny experiences several terrible incidents, including shattering spectacles, burns, and an allergic reaction. Nancy tries to help him, but nobody picks up. Despite her attempts to call the doctor, Nancy remains devoted to Danny's care.
