While unwinding, Abigail (Ana Foxxx) and Malcolm (Alex Mack), her lover, are viewing a sentimental Christmas film. Everything appears to be going OK until Abigail mentions that they will be spending the holidays with her family. back that point, Malcolm announces that he has changed his mind and would prefer to spend the holidays back home, which throws off the mood. As Malcolm offers weak justifications for his change of heart, Abigail is perplexed. She tries to object, exposing Malcolm's unsettling tendency to keep her alone, but he refutes everything and tells her she's exaggerating. Although Abigail is troubled and makes an effort to appear normal, she finally has enough when Malcolm leaves the room. Abigail quickly puts together a bag since she is determined to leave her predicament behind for good. However, she realizes it's too late when she turns back and witnesses Malcolm advancing on her with anger. The situation is essentially the same months later, with the exception that Malcolm is now dating Lindsay. Lindsay is glad they are together, but she worries that since Abigail died away not too long ago, she is merely a rebound. Malcolm reassures her, nevertheless, that despite his feelings for Abigail, he now loves Lindsay. However, Malcolm begins to feel plagued by his previous deeds. He sees spectral images of an enigmatic white woman floating past his home in silence over several days. Malcolm's world is upside down, whether it's something moving out of the corner of his eye or a mist-covered figure at the end of the hallway. It doesn't help that Lindsay always says she doesn't notice anything when he brings it up to her. Malcolm is visited in bed one night by the enigmatic woman in white once more. Despite Malcolm's insistence that he had nothing to do with her development, she is there to persuade him to acknowledge the truth about how she came to be. At that point, Abigail starts to entice him, telling him that he would at last be free if he lets go of everything and acknowledges his guilt.
