Alex, seething but resolute, grabs the broken phone and runs away. That night, Alex's dreams are haunted by Gia's cries for help. She wakes up in a cold sweat, discovering she's wet the bed. Staggering into the living room, she takes three ascorbic acid pills to calm her nerves. Gia's broken phone sits on the coffee table, a stark reminder of their predicament. Suddenly, an idea sparks in Alex's mind. She grabs the phone and exits the room, determined to save Gia from Gabriel's grip. Cut to a close-up of Gia in bed, startled awake by Alex leaning over her. Panic floods Gia's eyes as she realizes Alex has broken into Gabriel's house. Begging Alex to leave before Gabriel wakes up, Gia's voice is laced with fear. But Alex is unyielding, discovering Gia's black eye and promising that Gabriel will never hurt her again. Tonight, they're leaving for good. Alex helps Gia out of bed, urging her to wait in the car. Don't pack anything, just grab your IDs and leave. Gia, nervous but compliant, tip-toes across the room. Alex listens as her lover walks down the stairs and out the front door, then turns back to stare at Gabriel, still asleep and oblivious. With a deep breath, Alex sheds her clothes and climbs into bed beside Gabriel. He rolls over, draping his arm around her, unaware of the trap being set. Alex guides his hand to her chest, suppressing a cringe. She knows what she must do. Gabriel, assuming it's Gia, gives her breast a squeeze and moves in for a kiss. Alex kisses back, gently pulling out a satin blindfold from her bag. "Oh, so you want to play now," Gabriel laughs, as she covers his eyes. Alex works her way down to his pajama pants, unbuttoning them as Gabriel moans in anticipation. Disgusted but determined, Alex takes pictures of herself with Gabriel, capturing every compromising moment. She pulls out a pair of cuffs, handcuffing him to the headboard. Straddling him, she rides him as he enthusiastically orders her into various positions. Alex endures his crude comments, quietly following his instructions to get him to climax quickly. Finally, he ejaculates, and Alex hopps off, wiping away the evidence before taking a final photo of them both naked. Gabriel, realizing the truth, screams at Alex, demanding to be uncuffed. He looks around frantically for Gia, accusing Alex of taking her. He threatens to call the authorities, to hurt her, but Alex remains calm and collected. She walks up to him, thrashing in his cuffs, and shows him her phone, swiping through each reputation-ruining photo. "Gia and I are leaving now. We won't be coming back... and you won't come looking for us," she says coldly. "Otherwise, the media will have a field day with these photos and your political career will be over." Gabriel's screams turn to whimpers of mercy as Alex dials 911, reporting a break-in at his address. She holds the handcuff key in front of a frozen, dumbfounded Gabriel. "The police will be here soon," she says, smirking. "You didn't catch a good look at the intruders, did you?" She drops the key on the ground and turns out the light, leaving Gabriel to face the consequences of his actions. Cut to Gia waiting anxiously in the car, as Alex runs out and jumps into the driver's seat. "Are you ok?" Gia asks, concern etched on her face. Alex kisses her hard on the mouth and turns on the car. "I am now," she says, and the two drive off into the night, leaving behind their old lives and embracing a future filled with love and freedom.
