A school reporter named Aften Opal shows up at Nikole Nash's residence to write a profile on her. Nikole is surprised by Aften's apparent sincerity because she doesn't understand why the school newspaper is writing an article about her since she isn't very remarkable. However, Aften maintains that it's critical to hear Nikole's voice because she is openly gay in a tiny community! It becomes evident during the interview that Aften respects Nikole. Aften asks seemingly innocent queries, yet she is so sincere that it occasionally bothers Nikole. Especially when Aften begins inquiring about her personal life, things get really strange! When it gets to be too much, Nikoke confronts Aften and finds out she's also a lesbian! Aften continues by revealing that she is a secretive lesbian and that she was eager to get in touch with Nikole as soon as she learned about her. To get near, she even pleaded with her newspaper to let her do a piece! Nikole finds Aften charming in the end, despite her initial surprise at everything, and they have a spark.
