Today, Sarah (Aria Valencia), the stepdaughter of Neil (Clarke Kent), a single father, will be studying home economics. Neil has been homeschooling Sarah. There's something unnerving about their familial dynamic, even if everything seems perfect as they settle in. Neil's excessively friendly and upbeat demeanor verges on creepy, while Sarah appears to be EXTREMELY innocent and protected. It's evident that they both spend a significant amount of time together—perhaps a bit too much. They find an exercise where two students pretend to be husband and wife for the day and conduct chores together when they open the textbook to the current chapter. Neil persuades Sarah to complete the exercise with him instead of her peers because she has none. She scurries off joyfully and naively to get an apron without thinking twice. She notices that Neil's eyes are not as lusty as they once were. Neil and Sarah work together to do the dishes as their first task. Neil engages in lighthearted flirtation, rationalizing that they are merely pretending to be husband and wife. Sarah complies with Neil's requests, even if she's a little surprised, and even calls him "dear. "However, Neil grows more flirtatious and audacious as they work on more and more tasks together. At the end of the day, Neil and Sarah do what seems to be their final task together: making the bed. However, Neil persuades Sarah to perform one more "chore"—spending the night in bed with him—after she believes she has had enough for the day.
